Bio

i am a 59 year old watchmaker and jeweller who has spent a lifetime working at a bench, i have a wife who puts up with me training every day and who cooks mainly paleo for me (she thinks i am mad) i have four fantastic children, three daughters 16, 19 and 28 and a son 32 y.o, and my two oldest children both do crossfit, which spurs me on as i still dont believe i am 59, it is only when the bones creak in the morning after a particularly heavy wod the night before that i believe it, my greatest thrill in the gym is when i smoke the 20 -30 year olds in a wod, doesnt happen to often though, for recreation other than crossfit , i collect harley davidsons.

I eat strict Paleo

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

i eat srictly paleo, with the occasional cheat,

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I have a coach who determines my programming

very lucky to train with exceptional coaches who are more concerned with correct form than heavy weights

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

i have played many sports over the years since finishing high school, played lacrosse as a team sport, tried my hand at fencing, olympic wrestling, judo , jui jitsu, karate and spent ten years as a marathon runner.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

since i joined crossfit 2 years ago my eldest son and daughter have joined , independantly of me and at different affiliates, suffice to say the discussion around the dinner table is paleo and crossfit

My Work/Rest Schedule

I usually only do 1 workout a day

I strictly schedule my rest days

I typically rest fewer than 4 days per month

when i started out it was two times per week, then three, then four now typically 5 times per week with active recovery days
