How I Eat
I eat strict Paleo
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
One to 2 cheat meals or a few smaller cheats each week depending on how I feel and my weekly weigh in.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I have a coach who determines my programming
I record my workouts
I train 5 days a week with 2 rest days. I have coach and perform 1-4 work outs on each training day.
My Athletic Background
As a young girl I was a gymnast for nine years and had to stop due to injuries so I started Karate and jazz dancing. As a teenager I began competitive trampoline and diving which led me to win a gold metal at the BC summer games. I began body building at the age of 20 and became a fitness competitor at 34. I placed 2nd at the Canadian National Fitness competition Aug.11, 2012.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I train other people
My husband introduced me to CrossFit at the age of 37. When I started CrossFit I noticed increased results in all 10 athletic domains immediately, which made me kiss goodbye to conventional training. I do still practice tumbling for my fitness routines. Had to scale wods for nine month when I was pregnant in 2009/ 2010. I'm back and stronger than I ever have been before at 41 years old! Still room to improve :)
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I train Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Rest days are Wednesday and Sunday.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
About 3 years but I had to scale wods for 1 1/2 years while I was pregnant and post pregnancy.
