How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat Paleo several days a week, avoid bread and grain except for oatmeal 1 x a week or so. eat clean, and am open to enjoying a treat when I want it.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

Found Crossfit in June of 2009 after a 2008 surgery, serious MSSA staph infection, 2 repair surgeries and recovery over the course of a year. A friend told me about CrossFit and I drove straight to CrossFit 714, walked in and said "I don't know what this CrossFit thing is...but I need to sign up today" and I did!...I couldn't even do one sit up or anything else That choice changed my life!
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I played sports in High School but not college. Worked through college and taught aerobics at several clubs (remember when aerobics was really hot?! ) :) Also did a year or so of competitive body building..in 1982-83. it was just a natural part of being in the gym, but I wasn't interested in going where that sport was headed. Opened my own business and over the next 20+ years focused on work and working out enought to stay in shape and run a 5K here and there. At 48 after a successful career and after what happened in the hospital I decided I wanted to focus on something I was passionate about, health and fitness and finding how I could share that with other people to make a difference in thier lives
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I took over a year off from training from the end of 2012 until October 2013....personal stuff and work. So happy to be back... The CrossFit community is awesome...full of energetic, supportive, positive, people getting more fit and healthy and helping others do the same...Love it!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I took a year off from training (long story) and stated back in October 2013. I train 5 days a week. Really enjoying my training now ...having fun without pressure. CrossFit has made me stronger so I can do everything I love to do!
