How I Eat
I weigh and measure my food
I eat mostly Paleo in Zone quantities with emphasis on high-quality food.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I incorporate CrossFit.com workouts
I record my workouts
Combination of Outlaw, Main Site, and Gymnasticswod.com While touring with international artists, I carry a barbell, bumper plates, rings, jump rope, etc., and still manage to set PRs while on the road, making friends at CrossFit facilities worldwide, and getting stronger all the time! Bodyweight/gymnastic movements are in my wheelhouse, so I mainly focus on developing strength & skill at Olympic lifts
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I regularly play recreational sports
Athletic as a kid - soccer, football, BMX. Then, as an adolescent - surfing, wrestling, cross-country running, triathlons. And and as a young adult - mt. biking, rock climbing, backpacking. As an adult, I've expanded my repertoire of activities to include swimming, backpacking, rollerblading, snowboarding, archery, among other sports / activities.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Early load-ins for the big rock show, and late load-outs with a strength WOD and sometimes a met-con in between the two... DEFINITELY counts as multiple workouts per day!
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
My first recorded workouts were in Jan of 2010. I started in earnest with the 2011 Open, although I was too shy to participate officially. But that is what I call the beginning of my commitment to the CrossFit "lifestyle," and began recording life as I now know it on April 20, 2011.
