I started CrossFit in January 2013. Prior to that I did a lot of walking and hiking. I love the challenge and I'm getting stronger all the time.
How I Eat
I weigh and measure my food
I eat mostly whole, plant foods. I track everything I eat on fitbit.com and stay within a calorie budget each day. I've lost about 20 pounds since starting CrossFit in mid-January.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
My Athletic Background
I used to run and cycle a bit, but I've always been slow. For the past several years I've not done much other than walking and hiking. I really enjoy hiking and being in nature. I also sail and cross country ski.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I am blessed to have two amazing coaches who know when to push me, and several fun people who sweat along side me in the morning classes. I love my morning class!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I go to a 6AM class Monday - Friday, and I have one rest day and one day of hiking on the weekends.
