My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

Growing up, my biggest sports were show jumping and skiing. I am a professional ski instructor (PSIA Level 1) and although I don't ride anymore, I now run during the summer and do the Disneyland Half Marathon every year.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

After being diagnosed with sciatic nerve issues (brought on by teaching skiing, ski racing and lifting without a coach) in spring 2011, I rehabbed and recovered and took it easy during the 2011/12 ski season. My goal was to recover enough to a) go on a one-in-a-lifetime trip with fellow ski instructors to the French alps in February/March 2012 and b) begin crossfit. I did both and joined King Crossfit in April 2012. I completed my first competition at our In-Box Throwdown on March 23, when my teammate Lara Mae and I came in third among the Rx light women.

I usually only do 1 workout a day
