My Athletic Background
I regularly play recreational sports
I was never athletic until I decided I was going to run a marathon before my 40th birthday. I started running at 39 and am about to run my 22nd marathon.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I do CrossFit 5 times a week, mixed in with a 3-5 mile run on a couple days and yoga on one day. Saturdays are reserved for long runs. I take Fridays off.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Less than 6 months
I probably won't be able to score anything on any of the workouts, but it'll be fun to see what I'm capable of. I'm on the "other side" of my 40's, and I've surprised myself so far. I'm up for the challenge! :)
