This is my 3rd CrossFit Open! Super excited! I've been CrossFitting since Oct 2012.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week
I eat a hybrid Paleo and Clean diet - I have recently tried to eliminate or limit the amount of sugar I consume, so I mostly eat meat & veggies. I rarely eat grains or dairy.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I am fairly new to CrossFit - started in September of 2012. Previously I worked out at home either walking, doing a workout video or using an Elliptical machine. Now I go to CrossFit 5 times a week - I really LOVE CrossFit!!
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
My athletic background consists of competitive swimming in middle and high school and ballet during elementary and middle school. As an adult I did not participate in anything athletic.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
Our family was first introduced to CrossFit from a family friend. This friend gave a month membership to his CrossFit box for Christmas to my husband. He was instantly hooked, then my young teenage son began to go, then after the birth of my daughter I began. Now CrossFit is a family affair! Since starting CrossFit I have lost more than 40 lbs - but aside from weight I have gained confidence and strength I didn't know I had - it's a great feeling!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I attend CrossFit 5 days a week.
