First year attempting "The Games!" Prior to this, I spent countless hours on the volleyball courts and just completed my first 1/2 marathon in November of 2012. I am looking forward to this journey that is called Crossfit, and praying that God gives me the strength to pick my butt off the ground and give every last drop of sweat to my attempts. I joined the greatest team in the WORLD, C4! Let's do this!


How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I try to stick to Paleo about 75% of the time. My weakness is oatmeal and yogurt. When I do my distance runs, I HAVE TO HAVE my oatmeal!!!!! I am sure there might be a Paleo alternative, but it's my little slice of NON-PALEO that I treat myself to.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

On days I don't do Crossfit, I will incorporate lots of cardio. Mostly running or rowing

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played college sports

I played volleyball, basketball, and softball in high school. After that, I played one year of college volleyball. Ten years after graduating, I am still actively playing volleyball and feel such a burst of energy when we can still hang with the youngsters! :)

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I haven't been doing Crossfit for very long, but it has opened my eyes to a whole new world of toughness. I feel just as much pride finishing some of my WODS as I did when I played college ball. I have realized that my body is capable to do great things; and I may not have the best scores this year, but I will know how much hard work and dedication went into my scores! Already looking forward to next year's to measure my accomplishments! :)
