Bio

Nic Nakis started doing the WODs from CrossFit.com way back in 2003. In 2004, he stopped by the world's first CrossFit affiliate, CrossFit North, and became a regular sight around there for a few years. He showed up for Dave Werner's "Suffer on Saturday" once a month and played alongside some of CrossFit's early luminaries. He also joined Nick Nibbler's olympic lifting club, competed in the early CrossFit Championships (precursor to the Games), and was crowned Champion in an early CrossFit.com message board competition for completing 15 reps overhead squat with bodyweight. Nic built a couple home gyms, then took the show on the road. Traveling the world from Thailand to Laos, Cambodia, India, Kenya, and Greece, he did CrossFit in some unusual places and trained with some incredible athletes. After taking a break for a couple years, and experiencing some injuries and health issues, Nic got back into the sport of fitness at Level 4 CrossFit Seattle. The constantly varied functional fitness training helped rehab his injuries, and doing high intensity workouts with a great group of people rekindled his love of CrossFit. Nic built a couple more home gyms, went for his L1 certificate, and started coaching part-time at Jordan Holland's Xplore CrossFit in Seattle. Now Nic is in Thailand doing group classes and personal training at Tiger Muay Thai, one of the world's top destination gyms: sharing the love he got from CF and helping people be stronger, faster, and fitter!
