How I Eat
I weigh and measure my food
Ironically my nickname at CrossFit Maximus at times is "KFC" because of my initials. I eat strict paleo 6 days, go crazy on Saturday nights! My love for CrossFit started because I grew frustrated with the traditional nutrition and exercise routines as a trainer. When I found CrossFit and the Paleolithic nutritional model I quickly became passionate about both. Engaging in both simultaneously, I know has taken myself and many of our members to a new level of fitness that they never could have imagined getting to. The team atmosphere, support and camaraderie that come with this style of training and eating was something I've craved after playing sports my whole life.

Without Christ I am nothing...I always try to get a spiritual workout in before hitting the gym. 2 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on, 1 day off...thats what my week looks like.
My Athletic Background

I love applying my crossfit training to all types of sports. I'm all about any type of sport and anything outdoors. Before CrossFit, soccer was my primary passion. I played on several traveling teams in Georgia, Korea and Japan before heading to college to play for a year. Eventually winding up at the University of Kentucky (GO CATS!), I earned my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Kinesiology (Exercise and Sports Science) and Health Promotion. The obese population was my main focus, again taking me all over the country training, educating and creatively inspiring teen-age kids how to live a healthier lifestyle through proper nutrition and exercise.

My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I strictly schedule my rest days
Jesus said "come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I'll give you rest" -that's the secret sauce. Rest is everything....I take Wednesday's and Sunday's off. I get preventative therapy from a Active Release Technique specialist 1x per week and get a massage at MassageFIT every other week.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
My Crossfit Birthday is May 5, 2008 As well as CrossFitting, with the help of the other amazing Crossfit Maximus coaches, I started MassageFIT, CrossFit Maximus’s massage therapy, mobility and recovery clinic, in January of 2010. Massage therapy is one of my ways of helping hard working CrossFitters recover faster from any injuries and chronic pains with the intent of helping them get back into the gym to work hard again!
