How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I tend to stick to a pretty basic food plan which includs lots of the food I like. This is mostly clean, healthy and nutritious but not strict enough to be considered “Paleo”. Work colleagues think it is pretty fanatical but it’s just become part of who I am. I like to start the day with a wake up shake (usually whey protein & water) but on weekends or days when I'm training in the morning I include a banana, milk and a TSP of hazelnut butter as a pre-workout meal. 4-egg banana & hazelnut butter pancake are a breakfast staple (weekend’s bacon, eggs, cashews). This sets me up for the day till my mid-day meal of meat and lots of vegies. I love oranges and cashews which I tend to snack on through the day (perhaps a little too much). Dinner is usually meat and veg or salad with sweet potatoes. I try to keep sugar down to a minimum and prefer dark to milk chocolate which I have as an occasional treat. I can take or leave alcohol but its only because I hate hangovers of which Iv'e had too many to count.
