ATHLETE INFORMATION

How I Eat

I eat whatever is convenient

I eat pretty strict paleo throughout the week, then have one or two cheat meals on the weekend....such as cereal, or a sandwich. Rarely do I ever go "all out" on my cheats. I used to do that then got tired of feeling like shit for the next two or three days because of it! I also do not drink alcohol.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I incorporate CrossFit.com workouts

I record my workouts

I am the co-owner of a Box in Southern Illinois where I do all of my workouts and follow my own programming (which is very similar to crossfit.com WoDs)

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

Played sports in high school, then was a very unhealthy distance runner until I started CrossFit in 2008

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

I began CrossFit with my brother and sister-in-law at Potomac CrossFit in 2008. I got certified in 2009. I have my Oly Lifting cert, Gymnastics cert and Kids cert and plan on getting mobility certified in the near future. I was extremely unhealthy and skinny before CrossFit. Starting CrossFit completely changed my view of health and fitness and, I'm sure, has drastically expanded my lifespan in the process. We train about 200 individuals at our Box in So ILL, and love every second of it!

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 1x a week

I typically rest fewer than 4 days per month

We will randomly decide to do more than one workout usually about one day a week. However, we do skill practice (muscle-ups, snatches, double unders, etc) all the time post WoD. In addition, we ALWAYS have a challenge going at our gym. For this 100 days, we're working on wallballs, specifically, stringing wallballs together in big sets.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?
