I came to CrossFit from a running background 5+ years ago. I was hooked from the beginning. The best part about CrossFit is the community and the unlimited potential for fitness improvement. I was thrilled to qualify for the 2012 Games. I had some health issues during the Games and after which are behind me now. Above all I've learned to be thankful for good health, great friends and the love of family. In 2013 I injured my quad right before the opens but hung in to finish 46 in the Opens. In 2014 I took a different path and trained less - looking for "balance" in my life. I made the regional qualifier - 165/200 and I was thrilled to finish all the workouts and be ranked 52. This year Crossfit has been more about fitness than training. I've pursued other passions, but continue to enjoy what Crossfit brings to me, especially the community. I advance to a new age group and hope to do all the workouts RX - we shall see. Either way I love being a part of the CrossFit Brickyard community, cheer on others and share in a one of a kind competitive experience. Running to the Roar!
