How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat high quality proteins, complex carbs, and some fruits and vegetables. I take high quality supplements as well.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I write my own programming
I record my workouts
I follow the Crossfit model and incorporate my weaknesses as often as I can into the programming. I do one training session per day but often times do multiple wods back to back.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
Former competitive gymnast for over ten years. Competitive Bodybuilding and Fitness athlete as an adult.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
I train other people
Before Crossfit I was a bodybuilder. Disciplined but not the best thing to be. Loved the result but not so much the redundant training. If I had met Crossfit at a younger age it would have impacted my entire adult upbringing. Crossfit has changed me athletically to be in my very best shape at 41 and it is the best training in the world.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I do multiple wods back to back. Hit it hard as I can and do as much work as my body will allow. Recovery is key. I take one to two days off per week.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I have been training solid Crossfit for 5 years. The better I get the more I see I have to work on. Crossfit is never boring or redundant.
