How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week

I try to stay healthy. Stay away from complex carbs for most meals. Drink lots of water, eat a lot of lean meats and mixed veggies. Am I guilty of a nice Turkey hoagie from WaWa now and again? Fact.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I write my own programming

I work out twice a day. Mornings I work out with a teammate and afternoons I work out at RedPoint Crossfit. A lot of strength and endurance in the morning and then go to RedPoint not knowing what is programed for the day. Be ready for anything I guess would be the approach. Ruck at least twice a weak with 65+ lbs up and down hills along with C2 rowing and interval runs for endurance. Compound movements for the strength in the mornings and whatever Heather comes up with at RedPoint in the afternoons.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played college sports

I regularly play recreational sports

Ice Hockey and Lacrosse are where I started and I still play pick up games of ice hockey. Nothing beats the smell of the rink when you first step on the ice.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I train other people

I started Crossfit with some friends in college while playing hockey. Then my coach picked up on it and had us doing it. It wasn't until after I joined the Army that I started attending RedPoint that I really got into it heavily. I have since gone to CF LVL 1 and CF Endurance with plans to attend a few more in the future.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week

I typically rest fewer than 4 days per month

I usually work out twice a day and attempt to do a 4 on 1 off. That 1 off usually becomes a: "ah, well a recovery row wont hurt... maybe a few cleans... maybe some skill work... oh hell I will just do this one short WOD"

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

2-4 years
