How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat paleo about 80/20. I still enjoy my cheat days so I don't know if that percentage will ever change.

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I incorporate CrossFit.com workouts
I record my workouts
I mainly workout at the box but while I'm at the firehouse, I try to incorporate crossfit type workouts. Endurance before shift and strength while on shift.

My Experience With CrossFit
I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit
A long time ago, a very good friend started crossfitting and one day he invited me to join him. The very first workout I did was Fran. I never heard of a thruster and could not do a pull up so I did everything scaled. It completely destroyed me. I never heard of a workout named after a woman but after that day, I hated Fran. I slept half the day away. Now I have slowly come to respect Fran but from that very first day, I was hooked. Something about it drew me in. I was a chubby firefighter who liked his drinks and late night burritos but I always knew I had to change something. That very first day was a life changing experience for me. I lost 50 lbs in about a year and had a new out look on life. People who haven't seen me in a while, do not recognize me. I feel healthier, stronger and faster. I may not be the best, the fastest or the strongest but everyday I crossfit allows me the opportunity to be better than I was the day before.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Endurance is a challenge for me. I try to incorporate multiple workouts per day.
