I'm a grandfather who got off the sofa at age 56 and started CrossFit at the urging of my younger sister. My wife does CrossFit now as does my daughter and her husband. I've obtained my CF LVL 1 & 2 and CrossFit Gymnastics Certs. Love to coach but I don't get to do it much any more. My reason for doing CrossFit is for fun, fitness, and wellness. CrossFit isn't my life, it's a part of it. I have a full time career with the government as a Ph.D. physicist, am active in my church (Christ Community Church, PCA) as a Ruling Elder, am the Chapter Leader of Faith Rx'd Gaithersburg, and stay busy with family - especially those lovable grandchildren. CrossFit is THE fountain of youth! 3...2...1...
How I Eat
I eat strict Paleo
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I work out at CrossFit Hardshells. I do at least 3 WODs/wk and my goal is 4.
My Athletic Background
I have no athletic background besides CrossFit
I've played just about every sport there is at a recreational level (except Lacrosse, LOL). Love the outdoors, hiking, skiing, etc.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
