Drummer who dabbled in triathlon before starting CrossFit which led to Olympic lifting and gymnastics.

How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

80/20 Paleo foods, lots of raw milk and dairy, plenty of desserts

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I have a coach who determines my programming

I receive coaching from Max Shank for weightlifting and gymnastics.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I regularly play recreational sports

Soccer, basketball, wrestling, and biking growing up. Drum corps during college. Triathlon after, jiu-jitsu now.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

Started CrossFit at the University of Virginia student gym by myself, then joined CrossFit Charlottesville the day they opened. Certified CrossFit Level 1 Coach, CrossFit Endurance Coach, PICP Level 2 Coach OPT CCP (in progress), Precision Nutrition cert (in progress).

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I typically exercise every weekday and rest on the weekends due to travel. Weightlifting, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, and sprinting one to two times per day with plenty of sleep, rest, mobility, etc. thrown in to recover.
