Webb and Smith completed all 5 rounds of toes-to-bars, double-unders, and squat cleans in 15:07 and 16:54, respectively.

Four-time Games competitor Kara Webb and reigning Fittest Man on Earth Ben Smith have set the world's best scores on Open Workout 16.2.

Athletes were given 4 minutes to finish 25 toes-to-bars, 50 double-unders and 15 squat cleans (135 / 85 lb.). If an athlete could complete that work in less than 4 minutes, the athlete could advance to the next round where the squat reps decreased (minus 2) and the weights increased.

Across the 5 rounds, the women's weights climbed from 85 lb. to 205 lb. (85-115-145-175-205 lb.), while men ascended from 135 lb. to 315 lb. (135-185-225-275-315 lb.).

Tiebreak times were recorded at the end of each set of double-unders with the exception that athletes who finished the entire workout recorded the time when they completed their final squat clean.

The world's fittest athletes finished all 5 rounds (430 reps). The livestream audience watched as Dan Bailey appeared to achieve that monumental feat from a garage near Asheville, North Carolina, and over the next four days, 57 women and 33 men in the Individual Division got through all 430 reps within the 20-minute time cap. (Due to a judging error, Bailey missed 1 rep at 275 lb.).

Webb did it the fastest, completing the final 205-lb. squat clean at 15:07. Webb has competed at the Games every year since 2012 and has been a strong contender for the title for the last two years. This is her first Open workout win after several close calls (eight top-10 worldwide finishes including second place on 14.4, 15.2 and 15.3). She also set herself apart by posting her score three days ago.

Ben Smith had 3 minutes and 6 seconds to spare when he stood up with the final 315-lb. squat clean, clocking in at 16:54. Two-time silver medalist Mat Fraser (430 reps, 17:30) held first on the Leaderboard until 5 p.m. PT, when scores laying in wait appeared. Four-time champion Rich Froning and reigning champ Smith had set aside their potentially workout-winning times of 17:00 and 16:54. Smith's edged out Froning's by 6 seconds.

Webb and Smith will each be awarded $2,016 for their Open Workout 16.2 wins.
