Women (both Individual and Team) will have two 45s, one 25, one 15, one 10, one 5 and one 2.5-pound plate on each side of their platform during the event. A 35-pound barbell will be used for the women's events.
Men will have two 45s, one 25, one 15, and four 5-pound plates on each side of their platform. A 45-pound barbell will be used for the men's events.
In order for overhead squat reps to count, the barbell must be lifted overhead by the athlete's own efforts. No tricks or techniques that involve leaning the barbell, or otherwise not lifting it, will be permitted.
